Micheliolide (MCL), a sesquiterpene lactone isolated from Michelia compressa and Michelia champaca, has been used previously to inhibit the NF-κB signaling pathway. MCL has exerted various therapeutic effects in numerous types of disease, such as inflammatory and cancer.
