These APP mice exhibited raised ACTION task and decreased phosphorylation of proteins taking part in nociception transduction in hippocampi. The pharmacological inhibition of STEP activity using TC-2153 further reversed nociception and intellectual deficits in the APP mice. Additionally, the phosphorylation of nociception-related proteins into the APP mice has also been rescued after ACTION inhibitor therapy, suggesting one of the keys role of part of nociception alteration.
