The presence of IgG antibodies (Abs) to Aspergillus fumigatus (Af) is a crucial diagnostic criterion for allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA). Although precipitation is traditionally used to document IgG Abs, anti-Af serum IgG levels can also be measured by enzyme immunoassay (EIA).
