Based on the NOR test, vortioxetine administration markedly raised the discrimination index compared to the PTZ group. Electrophysiological and behavioural data from the present study suggest that vortioxetine, a novel drug, plays a critical role in controlling PTZ-induced epileptiform activity in rats.
