4-iodophenylboronic acid (IPBA) ligated luminescent gold cluster was synthesized by mixing an aqueous solution of IBPA and polyvinylpyrrolidone stabilized gold cluster (AuPVP) in water at room temperature through chemisorption of iodine on gold nano surface.
