Oil spills could be environmentally damaging and bring about unintended economic and social consequences. An essential element of the concerted energy to answer spills includes the capability to rapidly classify and define oil spill examples, ideally on-site. An easy-to-use, handheld sensor is created and shown in this work, effective at classifying oil spills rapidly on-site.
