The expression of two paralogous genes (Vradi01g05010 and Vradi10g0824, encoding beta-glucosidase enzymes, significantly decreased in VC1973A after pod removal and was significantly lower in depodded VC1973A than depodded V2984, indicating these two genes may participate in sucrose utilization for seed development by regulating the level of glucose. The results of this study will help elucidate the genetic basis of synchronous pod maturity in mungbean and facilitate the development of new cultivars with synchronous pod maturity.Object
