Fusarium-derived mycotoxin deoxynivalenol (DON) usually induces diarrhea, vomiting and gastrointestinal inflammation. We studied the cytotoxic effect of DON on porcine small intestinal epithelium using the intestinal porcine epithelial cell line IPEC-J2.
