World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading The lets players increase an item's gear rating up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln. Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP).
