Mycelial morphogenesis and the production of fungal secretory proteins are still largely unknown. A mutant strain of Aspergillus carbonarius UV-10046 produced abundant polygalacturonase (PG) along with partially saturated canthaxanthin (PSC) at low pH conditions.
