This update of the 2009 recommendations of the German Federal Initiative to Prevent Falls in community-dwelling older persons includes current evidence on state-of-the-art fall prevention group programs and aims to foster their set-up including recommendations on the implementation process. A standardized pathway for identification of the target group as well as guidelines regarding program content and structure, quality assurance, financing, and trainer education are addressed.
