Objectives To investigate the psychometric properties of the 10-item Social Engagement and Activities Questionnaire (SEAQ) to assess social-group, interpersonal interaction, and solitary activities among low-income, depressed homebound older adults (n = 269).Methods We used principal component analysis (PCA) to evaluate the underlying dimensions of the 10-item full SEAQ and a 6-item abbreviated item set. We assessed evidence of validity for the SEAQ by examining relationships between the SEAQ and older adults' clinical characteristics
