DOXY, better than lithium, reversed the d-amphetamine-induced rise in TNFα, MPO, and lipid peroxidation. DOXY reduced the hippocampal expression of Iba1 (a marker of microglial activation), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and nitrite.
