The Little Owl is a declining species in much of Europe. Traditionally they nest in old tree holes, rabbit burrows or within building cavities. They are a very adaptable bird can use a variety of nesting materials but are most attracted to a dark, dry location with plenty of privacy. This box is designed to meet their needs - it is made from 12mm tanalised softwood ply with a removable panel that allows access to the main chamber and internal baffles to deter predators. It is a simple, easy to build design which will last many breeding seasons
