A 6-year-old intact male pug dog was referred to the Atlantic Veterinary College veterinary teaching hospital for a surgical consultation after survey radiographs taken by the referring veterinarian led to a tentative diagnosis of a peritoneal-pericardial diaphragmatic hernia. Computed tomography of the thorax and abdomen prior to surgery further characterized the lesion and aided in surgical planning.
