Participants scoring ≤ 12 of 13 points into the NCGG-ADL showed a significantly greater risk of practical disability than did those scoring 13 points, even with adjusting for covariates (threat proportion [95per cent self-confidence period] = 1.58 [1.19-2.09]). We thus validated the NCGG-ADL as a screening device for assessing the risk of useful impairment among community-dwelling older Japanese adults.
