The strain S3 inoculated through seed treatment and soil drenching method led to improved morphological attributes (root/shoot length, root/shoot fresh weight and root/shoot dry weight), photosynthetic pigment content, increased accumulation of osmolytes (proline and total soluble sugar), enhanced activities of antioxidants (Catalase and Peroxidase) and phenolic content in salt stressed tomato plants. The biochemical characterisation, FAMEs analysis and 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that strain S3 belongs to the genus Pseudomonas
