ADD Symptoms in Adult Women Women with ADHD are often misdiagnosed and often misdiagnosed. This is largely because of gender biases and social constructs which assume that women will hide their symptoms. They often disguise their inattention symptoms as mood-related or anxiety-related and thus miss a diagnosis. Women with ADD can be hyperactive or inattentive however, they all have a tendency to struggle with impulse control and emotional regulation.
