Necrotizing ulcerative periodontitis (NUP) is a painful and debilitating condition seen mostly in an immunocompromised state. Although squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) on gingiva is not uncommon, its presentation as a benign necrotizing lesion on gingiva is rare.
