The aim of the present study was to analyze the consequences of partial free latissimus dorsi muscle flap with nerve splitting technique (Partial LD transfer) for facial reanimation and compare outcomes according to innervation method (singer versus dual innervation). Patients with complete unilateral facial paralysis underwent either the single (ipsilateral masseteric nerve only) or dual (ipsilateral masseteric nerve plus contralateral buccal branch of the facial nerve) nerve innervation method for facial reanimation.
