In this work, we describe the synthesis and characterization of the SPIONP-CUR conjugate between curcumin (CUR) and superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONPs), in addition to its application in photodynamic therapy (PDT) using a protocol free of organic solvents as a dispersant.
