Anna University is one of the top most universities in India. It had been established in the year 1978 in the city of Chennai, formerly known as Madras. The warm and humid climate of Chennai combined with the hospitable people of the town led to the establishment of the initial university in India to issue Engineering Degrees referred to as Madras Institute of technology in the year 1949. Madras has been a city of intelligent and hardworking people. Through the British rule, it was an important center of trade and communication with a strong naval base.
