Pocket-Finder implements LIGSITE (Hendlich et al., 1997) which relies on the POCKET algorithm (Levitt and Banaszak, 1992). In POCKET, a probe sphere of radius 3 Å is passed across the protein alongside every line of a 3D grid within the x, y and z directions.
