Analogously, we calculated CAZyme "Function;Family" profile-similarities among 95 Aspergillus and Penicillium species to form an alignment-free, EPR-based dendrogram. This revealed a stunning congruence between EPR categorization and phylogenetic/taxonomic grouping of the Aspergilli and Penicillia.
