A genome-directed discovery strategy to identify new tetrahydroisoquinolines (THIQs) was applied to deep-sea derived Streptomyces niveus SCSIO 3406; 11 THIQs were found representing three THIQ classes. Known aclidinomycins A (1) and B (2) were isolated along with nine new compounds, aclidinomycins C-K (3-11).
