Gas Safety Checks For Landlords and Home Owners Gas appliances and flues must be inspected by a licensed engineer every year, in accordance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations of 1998. This is to prevent leaks, explosions or fires and carbon monoxide poisoning among tenants.
