Gas Safety Check For Landlords and Owners of BB s. Landlords and owners of BB's are lawfully required to have their gas appliances, pipeline work and flues checked each year. The check needs to be carried out by an engineer signed up with Gas Safe. Renters are not accountable for organizing their own gas safety checks, however they are still responsible for any appliances and flues that link to the landlord's residential or commercial property.
