Aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase deficiency (AADCD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of neurotransmitter synthesis with lack of sympathetic autoregulation. Owing to hemodynamic regulatory dysfunction and impairment of sympathetic regulation of heart rate, anesthesia is challenging.
