Cacao polyphenols (CPs) are known to suppress the oxidation of low-density lipoprotein and cholesterol absorption. Herein, we examined the impact of CP on the lipid metabolism in rats fed CP-rich chocolate, by analyzing liver weight and histology, via hematoxylin-eosin staining.
