Rosiglitazone, an inhibitor of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), also improved the conversion efficiency. Moreover, a 2nd second-stage conversion process, in which VE-cadherin (+) cells were incubated for additional two weeks, further enhanced the efficiency.
