Card counting is not illegal. It is far from a way of cheating. It's not something how the Gaming Control Board will fine or ban someone for partaking in. But in Las Vegas, casinos are private material goods. Often when a surveillance operator or an attentive floor supervisor detects a card counter, they ask the counter to leave.
