A 68-year-old woman presenting with anorexia and epigastric pain was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP). Chemotherapy was initiated with S-1. Subsequently, gemcitabine was administered in combination with prednisolone. Her platelets returned to normal after the treatment with steroids and chemotherapy, but the treatment could not be withdrawn completely.
