Here, using α-rhythmic TMS-pulses, we demonstrate the effect of the phase of entrained oscillations on performance in a temporal order judgment task. In extension of previous work, we 1. causally influenced brain rhythms far more directly using TMS, and 2. showed that previous results on discrete perception cannot simply be explained by rhythmic fluctuations in visibility.
