From a genetic perspective, the advantages of crossbreeding in sheep are unclear. In the present study, a comparative transcriptomic analysis was performed using Longissimus dorsi tissues from two sheep groups in order to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to growth, development and meat quality.
