World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance. For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value). The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level. Components Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect.
