You aren't stupid. Concerning what a person say that upset other players. Concerning what is socially undesirable. You know that you shouldn't use certain slurs when a member of your group is of a ethnicity or has certain religious values. You also know that projecting said slurs onto fantasy races instead of 'real' ones is pretty transparent.
