The results showed that EA and CGS21680 improved the behavioral performance, neuronal structure and dendritic/synaptic morphology of SNL rats, consistent with higher expression levels of A2AR, cAMP and PKA. In contrast to the positive effects of EA, SCH58261 inhibited dendritic growth and promoted dendritic spine/synaptic remodeling.
