Evaluate the effect of dentifrices or gels containing MMP inhibitors on dentine loss in situ. Acrylic palatal appliances containing bovine dentine blocks were divided into two rows, corresponding to the groups erosion (ERO) and erosion associated with abrasion (ERO+ABR).
