Repeat therapy with intraperitoneal paclitaxel has been used recently. Intraperitoneal administration of paclitaxel results in prolonged retention in the peritoneal cavity with effects against peritoneal metastases. Repeated administration of paclitaxel does not cause adhesions in the peritoneal cavity.
