Gas Safety Check For Landlords and Owners of BB s. Landlords and owners of BB's are lawfully required to have their gas home appliances, pipeline work and flues checked every year. The check should be performed by an engineer registered with Gas Safe. Tenants are not responsible for arranging their own gas safety checks, but they are still accountable for any devices and flues that connect to the landlord's home.
