BP responders were defined by a postoperative BP 90 mm Hg (odds ratio 13.9; P less then .001), and preoperative clonidine use (odds ratio, 4.52; P = .008). The percentage of patients with a positive BP response increased incrementally as the number of markers per patient increased, based on the Cochran-Armitage test for trend (P less then .0001).
