Compared with Caucasian patients, East Asian patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) have demonstrated better clinical outcomes. We sought to compare the viscoelastic properties of clot formation and their impact on clinical outcomes in East Asian vs. Caucasian patients. We analyzed age- and sex-matched East Asian and Caucasian patients with stable CAD (n = 249 each). Viscoelastic properties of clot formation were assessed with thromboelastography (TEG), and 3-year clinical outcomes were recorded. Major adverse cardiovascular events
