During the diagnostic work-up, neurological symptoms aggravated and evolved refractory to high-dosage cortisone. Recurrent MRI scans showed progressive cerebral lesions, highly suspicious for lymphoma and methotrexate chemotherapy was initiated. Unfortunately, clinically the patient responded only transiently.
