We developed a transducer to measure the force of predatory assaults on limpets by a captive black colored oystercatcher and tested the hypothesis that exposure to cozy conditions during reduced wave emersion would impact the limpet's ability to resist dislodgement in tests with a morphometrically accurate beak mimic and a live bird. In beak mimic trials, four times as much limpets exposed to warm up reduced tides were eliminated, in comparison with limpets subjected to cool off
