History of Badminton: British army officers learnt the game around 1870 and took it back with them to England. The Duke of Beaufort introduced this game to his friends in his country estate in Gloucestershire in 1873 and started the game, so this is considered to be the beginning of modern badminton. This place is called "Badminton House". That is why this game got its name Badminton. By 1875 , the first badminton club was started in Folkestone, England. J. H. E. Hart standardized the rules of badminton and by 1893 , the first set of rules resembling modern badminton were published by the Badminton Association of England. https://yuvahastakshar.com/new....s/90/history-and-ori
