The heterogeneous sulfoethylation of cellulose, xylan, α-1,3-glucan, glucomannan, pullulan, curdlan, galactoglucomannan, and agarose was studied using sodium vinylsulfonate (NaVS) as reagent in presence of sodium hydroxide and iso-propanol (i-PrOH) as slurry medium.
