OBJECTIVE We assessed the accuracy of patient reported outcomes (PROs) for predicting spontaneous ureteric stone passage (SSP). METHODS Patients with new unilateral ureteric calculi were prospectively assessed regarding their current symptoms and whether or not they believed their stone had passed. The primary outcome was successful SSP as confirmed by ultrasound and KUB X-ray. SSP was compared to PRO responses to assess accuracy.
