Giant cell tumour (GCT) represents 5% of all primitive bone tumours. Standard surgical treatment of GCT includes intralesional excision or segmental resection. Curettage has a higher recurrence rate (10-25% in stage 2 or 3 but does preserve adjacent joint function.
