Compared to rabbit testes, in which there was the least number of senescent cells in seminiferous tubules, there was a greater abundance of senescence markers in both nutria and chinchilla testes (P less then 0.05; P less then 0.001, respectively). Furthermore, there were small abundances of caspase 3 and LC3 in the testes of all species.
