In contrast to the crystal-poor rhyolitic ignimbrites of SE Hungary with rare biotite, the predominantly rhyodacitic-dacitic pyroclastic rocks of the Tisza Mega-unit are crystal-rich (40-45 vol%) and often contain biotite, pyroxene, and garnet.
